Avista has installed a new Flo Ultra DCFC fast charging station for electric vehicles (EVs) at 250 W 1st St, Colville, WA. This is a big step in helping more people use clean energy and making it easier to drive electric cars in rural areas.
Easy and Convenient Charging
The charging station is close to downtown, so drivers can shop, eat, or run errands while their cars charge. This helps local businesses and makes life easier for everyone.
Fast and Powerful Technology
The Flo Ultra DCFC station can charge up to four vehicles at once. It is very powerful and can quickly charge cars and trucks. Drivers can get up to 80% charge in just 10-15 minutes, making road trips and daily driving easier.
Helping Rural Communities Go Electric
This new station is part of Avista’s plan to put charging stations every 30-40 miles along major roads. By focusing on small towns like Colville, Avista is helping more people choose electric cars and supporting clean energy goals in Washington State.
Working Together for Clean Energy
The project was made possible by support from the Washington State Department of Commerce and funds from the Climate Commitment Act. Thanks to Director Nguyen, Washington State Department of Commerce Director, for touring the site and championing rural electrification efforts. Avista’s team worked hard to make this happen, and the rural EV community is excited to expand the charging network.
