On October 1, 2023, with direction and support from the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission, Avista launched a new program for our Washington residential customers to help them save money every month. My Energy Discount – Washington offers a personalized bill discount to those who qualify.
The new program’s household size and income requirements are more inclusive than previous options, making it easier to participate. Customers who have not sought or were not approved for assistance in the past are strongly encouraged to apply.
Compared to traditional bill assistance models, My Energy Discount – Washington offers a quick and easy enrollment process. “We’re excited to present this program to our Washington customers,” said Tamara Bradley, Manager of Social Impact at Avista. “Help is now easy to access and available today. Customers are encouraged to sign up and take advantage of this monthly savings opportunity, before cold weather settles in.”
Even better, participants can still utilize all the other valuable programs and services their local community action agency offers, including other types of energy assistance.
“To apply, customers simply need to contact us. It takes just a few minutes and there’s no paperwork required,” said Bradley. “If they’re approved, their discount will be good for two years.”
