Caritas has assisted families in crisis in Northwest Spokane for twenty years. Caritas has an onsite food bank and can provide assistance with customer’s utility bills as well.

The Spokane Valley Performing Arts Center will be a 59,000 square foot facility with a 475-plus-seat main stage and a 200-seat studio theater, and it will have the newest technology available for a professional theater. It plans to open its doors in 2024.

Bootleg Fire Recovery: A Long Road to Restoration
The clean up after 2021’s Bootleg fire is progressing steadily across the Klamath basin. By the end of 2024, more than 16.5 miles across seven streams had been restored at the cost of more than $20,000 per mile.

Improving customer and community resilience during power outages
Avista also recently convened a group of Spokane-area non-profit and emergency response organizations that have a role in providing support to vulnerable individuals and groups during extended service outages. Our goal is to establish a coordinated response for vulnerable customers during energy-related events.
