Home Energy Audit
A home energy audit is the first step to finding out how your home uses energy. It can help you decide what to fix first.
A home energy audit is like a check-up for your home. Audits are conducted by certified third-party contractors who come to your house to see where energy is being wasted. They'll give you tips on how to make your home more efficient, comfortable and healthy.
Want to know how your home is using energy?
Start with our Energy Manager tool
This tool shows how much energy your appliances and common activities use. Maybe someone in your home takes long showers, you do a lot of laundry, or you have a lot of gaming equipment. Whatever it is, our Energy Manager tool helps you see what’s happening, so you can make changes that fit your needs.
- Idaho and Oregon customers will see the monthly energy usage breakdown of an average home.
- Washington customers with smart meters will see the hourly energy usage in their home. They can also take our quick, two-minute online Home Profile Survey to get more accurate results.
